Seedings:
AFC
Pittsburgh
New England
Indianapolis
Denver
Baltimore
Houston

NFC
New York
New Orleans
Arizona
Minnesota
Atlanta
San Francisco

Wildcard Round:
AFC
Houston @ Indianapolis (Indy wins-they have playoff experience, Houston plays as if they are just glad to be there)
Baltimore @ Denver (Baltimore wins-Denver is put out of their misery of this miserable season. Baltimore isn’t as good on D, but they get the job done)
NFC
San Francisco @ Arizona (SF wins- the two games this past year, in 2008, were close. 2009 is no different. They split during the season)
Atlanta @ Minnesota (Vikings pull it off in a close one)

Divisional Round
AFC
Indianapolis @ New England (Indy wins-the curse has been broken and Indy is no longer intimidated)
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh (they split in the season, but Pittsburgh wins this)
NFC
Minnesota @ New Orleans (Vikes are a wall for the run, but the Saints throw it all over the top)
San Francisco @ New York (49ers dream season ends, Giants win after a big scare)

Conference Championships
AFC
Indianapolis @ Pittsburgh (Indy has never beaten Pittsburgh in the playoffs, nothing changes, Pittsburgh improves to 6-0 against the Colts in the postseason)
NFC
New Orleans @ New York (Giants win this one big. Saints stuggle in the elements and miss the comforts of home and the dome. Sean Payton can no longer disguise Saints’ problems on defense)

Super Bowl XLIV
New York vs Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh is designated home team)
The game everyone wanted to see in Super Bowl XLIII, but didn’t get. In 2008, Pittsburgh took the defending champs, shut down the running game and lost by just a TD. In this game, Pittsburgh makes sure it doesn’t happen again. Pittsburgh wins by 6. Takes home their record seventh Lombardi, and win back to back Super Bowls for the third time.

Jim Caldwell wins Coach of the Year in both AP and Motorola honors.

I might be a homer for Pittsburgh, but we have an easier schedule, returning maybe all but 1 or 2 starters on both sides of the ball, no major free agents, and our DC is returning for another year. The pieces are there. Pittsburgh has proven it can win with no o-line. I am trying to look at it objectively. Give me a little credit, please.

Hey Zack D, I went a little further than you did, but I fully answered the question. You may not like what I said, but you have to admit, that I provided reasons and not just a one line answer. Give me consideration when it comes time for picking your winner.

EDIT: My prediction can actually come true. What I mean is the possibility is there. The combined conference record of my prediction for the AFC is: 130-126. The combined total for the NFC is 126-130. Add them yourself if you wish. Together they have to equal 256 games for each conference. 130+126=256 or 126+130=256.

Whatever you decide on the records for each team, the conference have to mirror each other. If the NFC is 160-96 (which is the maximum best record a conference could have), then the AFC must be 96-160 for example. If the AFC is 128-128, then the NFC must also be 128-128.

Not putting anyone down, just trying to educate some people. Show them something cool. Keep that in mind, and make fun of your friends for making up something that can’t happen when they try to predict.
