Chris Owens played with NFL talent in the San Jose State secondary and often looked as good as teammates Dwight Lowery and Coye Francies. Check out his coverage on Draftguys TV.

I agree with that completely, the only thing Chris really has is speed…

dds5 on 5 November, 2009 at 4:33 pm #

Yeah we really need JA to show up this season… or we sit um down.

watzgewd on 8 November, 2009 at 3:21 pm #

FantasyFootBall7 on 11 November, 2009 at 3:10 pm #

Chris Houston is solid? are you on the same shit Bobby was on when he drafted this guy? Bobby”I quit”Pussy draft two bust in my eyes in Chris Houston and Jamal Anderson.

fahzah on 13 November, 2009 at 5:00 pm #

down20 on 15 November, 2009 at 4:53 pm #

KennyTheQuad on 16 November, 2009 at 3:32 am #

chris houston turns head after the plays over

Deepooh on 18 November, 2009 at 12:28 am #

Oh and he’s turning his head so he’s one up on Chris Houston already

Deepooh on 20 November, 2009 at 8:54 am #

He has really fluid hips.

Herb3k on 21 November, 2009 at 4:45 pm #

he should work nicely with Chris “Force Out” Houston!! Got Draft?? There’s a Dimitroff for that! Apply directly to the draft board bitches!

CDuB20090 on 23 November, 2009 at 11:35 am #

Has a very quick and fluid backpedal and can clearly read routes. Can’t wait to see this guy in the red and black.

ant22194 on 23 November, 2009 at 8:04 pm #

i agree with Xrage21 he is so much better than chris houston

FantasyFootBall7 on 24 November, 2009 at 2:40 am #

Yea i’m with you on that Xrage Man i wanted Butler at 24 or trade back into the 2nd round to get him to go with Jerry, and Moore I think after watching this Owens has some GREAT ball skills. I think again if we would have added him and Butler with Jerry and Sidbury we would have a def to be scared of but i look foward to watching him play. Now i have to find out about Middleton all i know is he went to Maris Hs in Atlanta.

AtlantaFalcons89 on 25 November, 2009 at 6:30 am #

Welcome to the nest Chris. I hope you have a very productive career

XRage21 on 25 November, 2009 at 10:26 am #

Eh….Chris Houston I’m not high on. This Owens guy actually seems to be the complete opposite of Houston in terms of his instincts and ball skills. Houston has about worst instincts and ball skills I’ve seen since we tried to play Allen Rossum at CB.

elementdcpunk on 26 November, 2009 at 6:10 pm #

Welcome to the ATL!!!!!

beantna on 27 November, 2009 at 11:30 am #

nickelback here if they start chevis jackson and houston this year imo i like chevis and chris could be a good one if he would turn his head to the ball when the ball is in the air he made some solid plays last year with the new rules i saw him push the wr out of bounds a few times to prevent receptions hopefully abe peria jerry jamaal and company can get the opposing qbs azz on the ground more too go falcons :)

F4lCONZF4N32 on 1 December, 2009 at 9:43 am #

I Agree With XRage21.. All He Needs To Do Is Study How Chris Houston Plays.. And Maybe In Time He Will As Good Or Even Better.. Cant Wait To See Him Play.. Welcome To Atl!! =[]

GlassofAIDS on 4 December, 2009 at 6:31 pm #

He sounds intelligent and seems to have a great work ethic. I’ve got a good feeling that he’ll be more easy to coach and quicker to improve.

chief0282 on 6 December, 2009 at 3:13 am #

Now all we need is a LB.

Williams31004 on 8 December, 2009 at 1:43 pm #

HELL YEA ATL

XRage21 on 11 December, 2009 at 10:57 pm #

When we made this pick, my first reaction was “who?” I really wanted either D.J. Moore or Mike Mickens. Now that I’ve looked at this I’ve warmed up to the pick a little bit. You can tell that he’s been coached well on how to read a receiver’s body language and predict the route he’s running. The coaches are going to have to work on his tackling, but he could be good.

ant22194 on 12 December, 2009 at 12:40 pm #

welcome to atlanta baby
go falcons!!!!!

SEGaDawg1 on 14 December, 2009 at 6:08 pm #
