yeah your right about letting up all those yards but did they get points? atlanta was 11th in points allowed avg 20.3 points. yeah its alot but thats why we have an explosive offense i think we will be okay this year we may need one more offseason to address the defense

oops…24th…my bad…But really, our defense plays a bend but dont break type game. We do rely on our offense to be our best defense. The defense will come around soon. Hard to find teams that have great O’s and great D’s these days. It is usually one or the other.
It’s funny how so many people bust on us for not having a good defense, but we are 10th in total defense in the league.
We got a D now thats IF and I mean IF they can stay healthy. We have the a chance to now move Jamal Anderson around now that we have L.Sidbury we also have a legit pass rush IF again i say Peria Jerry can be that player he was in College and he will be line at at the NT right next to Abarham and Big Babs can get on the field so you talking about on 2nd and 10 3rd and 5 having Sidbury,Babs,Jerry, and Abarham coming at a QB scarey just thiking about it. Also we will run some 3-4 packages too.
I think the Redskins just might replace those franchises in crapness I could be wrong, but how many times do you have to burn out picks on busts and waste money on bad free agent pickups

Cassel is overrated and I hope Thigpen wins. Thigpen is better and has talent. Brian Waters, Glenn Dorsey, Brandon Albert, Jamaal Charles, Brandon Flowers, Bernard Pollard, Jarred Page, Derrick Johnson. Theres an plethora of talent on this team. And our young backup to Tony G. has done well with the playing time he got.

Our D gave a lot of yards last season, but we were 11th in points allowed. We played Arizona within 6 points, better than any other NFC team played them IN Arizona. One fumble cost us that game. If it was in Atlanta, Falcons would have been in Tampa.
You right about the defense JR. As a falcons fan I’m hype though because of Gonzalez. It only opens up the offense even more, plus Matt Ryan will grow. We’re not getting Pettigrew so we will get defense in the draft today.
No…Gonzalez is going to be playing for the next 3 or 4 years. He said it himself. He plans on being in Atlanta for a long time and is still the best TE in the league.
