When Michael Vick gets out of jail, or before that, should the Falcons trade their rights to him to another team? I think yes, since they’ve got a bright future with Matt Ryan and with the amazing turnaround that they just witnessed in 2008.

I think that like Pacman Jones former of the Cowboys he is worthless now and so they should get some value from him.

It doesn’t really matter what we think they should do, they’ve already announced that they are looking to trade his rights and that he will not play with Atlanta again.

I agree with this decision as well. Ryan is a far better QB than Vick was. He’s not the playmaker that VIck was, he can’t make a nothing play into something, but he is a better passer.

They shouldn’t.
Hes a big distraction like T.O.

yes because they cant use him got anything and they could get something good in return

They are going to try, but problem is teams know that the Falcons aren’t going to keep him and they can get him without giving up a 66th or 7th round draft pick. Plus with his current salary no team is going to pay him that much. Falcons did announce this in the last few days (GM).

Who would they trade him to? No one wants him. He’s a liability to any time.

Of course. Vick is probably one of the best athletes ever to put on an NFL uniform. The Falcons could trade Vick who at his best would be the back up to Ryan next year, and get a 2nd to 3rd pick to add another piece to the young team. It makes perfect sense.

They should try. No GM in their right mind will give them anything for him, but they should certainly try. If somehow they do get something for him the more power to them. It’ll be a 6th round pick at best, but right now I think Atlanta would take a cheeseburger and large fries to finally get him out of the organization.

ramswo85 - that game your talking about, he only threw for 232 yards and he threw 2 INTs. Sadly, that was still one of the top 5 passing games of his career. He only had an above average passer rating one season (his 2nd year). But he’s still a great QB, right?

ramswo85 on 14 June, 2009 at 5:29 pm #

i don’t get it, in his last season against the steelers a top 5 defense that year may i add, Vick came here to pittsburgh and scored 4 td’s or so 0 int’s and like 300 plus passing and people r sayin he isn’t a good passer. he was jus entering his prime he is still very young came in 2001 so if he comes this year it will b wat his 8th year he is a good QB and me bein a rams fan i would take a shot at him evry 1 deserves a 2nd chance, Pacman Jones hah we all kno that, Chris Henry suspended for 8 games, got arrested again, released than resigned, tank johnson i can go on and on, no one has given him a second chance. I say someone should give this great QB a shot to redeem himself

Michael Vick’s contract should be null and void for breach of contract. He should not be allowed back into the league and should not be a liability to the Falcons in any way, shape or form. He still has a contract that goes through 2013 for 45+ million.

He should be left to be the male prostitute he has become in prison. His skills are more suited for that. Pacman says so.

i think they should try. The Vikings would probably go after him. They’re becoming the Cowboys of the north….lol.

Kat on 17 June, 2009 at 10:25 pm #

Heck yeah they should trade his rights to another team.

jetsmets on 19 June, 2009 at 3:31 am #

There should be no rights involved. He could be banned from the NFL and forced to earn his money like miliions of other Americans not in sports
